Dear OpenFOAM Users,

We are organizing a Midwest OpenFOAM Users Group Meeting to be held at Washington University in Saint Louis Missouri on Saturday July 19th, 2014. Information on the event can be found on the newly created webpage at

Some important facts about the meeting:
  • Please email the organizers to submit an abstract to give a technical presentation.
  • A preliminary schedule is being built based on interest and attendees.
  • Please see the website and use the registration page.
  • Please use the users group email address for any questions.
  • The meeting so far is free to attend and we will do our best to keep it that way.

Hello FOAMers,

So far we are getting a good response with participants registering for the Midwest Users Group. Our agenda is filling up and if there are a few people out there that are holding out to see what happens...sign up. We have a few really experienced users that are giving talks, looking for jobs, and giving some training. At present, we are looking for 2 more talks that we can arrange via WebEx if you would like to sit at home and deliver your talk. The audience is mostly new users, so talks on your project in an informal manner are welcome. We can discuss issues you are having, or what your plan of work will be. For those attending, we will help you get things installed properly and up and running if you like. I hope to see you there!

Hello FOAMers,

I finally was able to get the talks from the Midwest OpenFOAM Users Group meeting from July posted. The talks are available

Next year we will be a little better with capturing the sound, but this is good enough. We had a total of 25 participants from around the Midwest. I hope to be part of it again next year but for now, I'm looking forward to the Workshop in June 2015. Enjoy!.
