Hello,

I prepared a distribution based on openSUSE, with some of the most popular open source tools for CFD and computational activities.

Three formats are available:
  • Live DVD
  • Live USB / Hard drive image (it can be used as permanent image)
  • vmWare / VirtualBox image, for use on virtualized hosts or under other operating systems

You find the list of the included applications here

http://albertopassalacqua.com/?p=747

and more information on the latest release here

http://albertopassalacqua.com/?p=759

At the moment the distribution is only available via SUSE Gallery, which means you need an account there to be able to download the image (waiting for approval of trademark redistribution from openSUSE, since this project is meant also as a promotional initiative of openSUSE, who provided the infrastructure, and quite some help to realize it).
As said in the post on my blog, I have a few invites for SUSE Studio / Gallery remaining. If someone is willing to test, please let me know.

Best,
Alberto
