vector graphic

Hi all,

is it possible to export the slice build in paraview as an vector graphic? If yes how and if its not possible, is there a other way doing that? Maybe using blender?

It's definitely not possible in paraview. In fact, it's the most requested feature right now: http://paraview.uservoice.com/forums...-e-postscript-. I use Tecplot for vector graphics.

Hmmm :(

thanks for your answer anton.
Tecplot is not for free. But I can download a version to test it. Do you know if all functionally of the tool are working?

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty happy with Tecplot. It has a native OpenFOAM reader that is not great (I prefer to use foamToTecplot360), but other than that I have no complaints. You could also have a look at Enthought/Mayavi. I've not tried it, but it's also based on VTK and supposedly can create vector graphics.

Hi,
thanks for your replay. I ll have a look at Tecplot if I can use a trial version and wanna have a look at Enthought/Mayavi.

At least do someone have a look to that:
Code:

If vtkMapper::InterpolateScalarsBeforeMapping is set to on, the
output of vtkGL2PSExporter either ps or pdf is a
dataset without colors because no texture is generated. A workaround is to set vtkGL2PSExporter::Write3DPropsAsRasterImage to on
