FasTom is on a distinguished road
Hello,

for postprocessing purposes I want to visualize a scalar value at every gauss integration point (kown and given by xyz-coordinates) using Paraview. I have a 3D finite element mesh with eight gauss points per element (8-node bricks) and the idea is to incorporate these scalar values into volume elements and color code them, like it is done for a general stress analysis (well, I know that stresses are tensors, but we can assume that we want, e.g., the first principal stress).
My problem is, that I don't want to average these values at the element center or the element nodes since I will lose information. Has anybody had a similar problem or knows if that is possible?

Thank you very much for any help!

Greetings,
Thomas
