watching 2D grid in paraview

Hi all,
I want to see 2D grid cells of a case but 3D cells are always shown in the paraview as attachment although I have selected out empty-faces.

Hi,thanks both Anton and Bruno,
@Bruno: I missed to say about I used slice with excess triangles as you mentioned, but I can't find VTKpolyhedron option and Extract cells by Region doesn't have any effect.

"Extract Cells by Region" is a filter similar to the "Slice" and "Clip" filters, but instead of giving a slide-like view of the mesh, it actually gives us the cells within that region. But the detail is that the polyhedral cells cannot be decomposed, otherwise this filter will show the cells in decomposed form, mostly as tetrahedral cells. As for the "Parallel" option:
