I've been running a simulation of a wedge airfoil in supersonic flow. After the iteration is done, I went to Paraview. I am able to see several parameters such as p, rho, u, etc. but I don't see static pressure and static temperature. When I click on p, the legend showed that most area in the flow field has the value of total pressure I given as boundary condition.

What should I do to show static pressure and temperature distribution ?

Greetings badboyz31,

Are you referring to the tutorial "compressible/sonicFoam/ras/nacaAirfoil"? Or at least based on it?

And I've done a bit of Googling:
Code:
site:cfd-online.com "openfoam" sonicFoam static pressure
Which gave me these threads:
From what I basically know and from what I can understand, the "p" field usually refers to static pressure and total pressure can be calculated by running the utility ptot. There is also the function object "pressureTools", which can be found from here: http://foam.sourceforge.net/docs/cpp/modules.html - click on the "Utility function objects" link (it will change with each release of OpenFOAM, which is why I don't give a direct link).

As for static temperature... I have no idea what that is or at least I can't remember...

Best regards,
Bruno
