HI. I'm using a other version of Open-Foam, that is Open-Foam-2.4.0-MNF, to solve specific cases. The OF-2.4.0 is already installed and all ok with paraView.

I have this folders: OF-2.4.0, OF-2.4.0-MNF, ThirdParty-2.4.0, ThirdParty-2.4.0-MNF

I done this steps to install paraview after install OF-2.4.0-MNF:

1. ThirdParty2.4.0. "./Allwmake"
2. ThirdParty2.4.0. "./makeParaView4"

And on the middle of installation, like 50%, appeared an error and the installation was aborted.

And when I use the comand "paraFoam" to open the paraview, appeared this error: FATAL ERROR: ParaView reader module libraries do not exist"

After this message, he show me 3 steps to do, but i can't do this steps.

THE IMAGES OF ERRORS ARE ATTACHED.

Thanks, I hope someone will help me, this is for my research in the college.

matheusmonjon,

If you already have another version of OpenFOAM with ParaView installed, just use that version. All that matters is that you read in the correct case, not what version of OpenFOAM was used.

If you want, you can download and use the newest versions (5.2 or 5.3) of ParaView online and use those. They will have more functionality for post processing.

Thanks for answering me, Joshua. But my research advisor told me that I have to use the version 4 of paraview, to run correctly with the OF-2.4.0-MNF.

I tryed to run the simulation in the OF-2.4.0-MNF and open paraview in the OF-2.4.0, but the same error appeared to me.

If I install the newest versions (5.2 or 5.3) on OF-2.4.0, I can visualize my simulation in OF-2.4.0-MNF? If yes, how I do this?

matheusmonjon,

I don't know if it will work for sure but it is worth a try. Download it from the following link and give it a try.

http://www.paraview.org/download/
