hallo all,

I'm trying to learn the Openfoam as a new beginner. According to the instruction i have shown the contour and vector maps successfully for the cavity case. Then i wanted to show the streamline continuously step by step through paraview. But it couldn't be complied. I have checked the Information for stream1. there were no data which were bound. What could be the problem? can anyone help me? Thank you very much.

good wishes

alice

I have the same error and I'm solving it by converting foam data to VTK (foamToVTK util).

Then i open generated vtk data Paraview (paraview).

This has been answered a number of times on the Board. Use search and look for "Extract Parts"/"Internal Mesh"

Hello.
I'm sorry for asking such stupid question, but I'm a beginner in Paraview.
I've got a vtk data file which consists two arrays-pressure and velocity. I need to get streamlines of velocity field. When I open my file in Paraview neither extract nor streamline filter are active. Help me please. What should I do to activate them? Thanks.

I'm far from sure, but try CellDataToPointData, and see if the filter Stream Tracer is activated.
