Dear foamers.

When I try to open the paraview using 'paraFoam', I always get this error message.

================
-bash-3.2$ paraFoam
created temporary 'case9.OpenFOAM'
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
paraview-real: /local/software/rh53/paraview/3.6.2/source/ParaView3/VTK/Utilities/vtknetcdf/posixio.c:433: px_get: Assertion `extent != 0' failed.
/local/software/rh53/OpenFOAM/1.6.x/gcc/OpenFOAM-1.6.x/bin/paraFoam: line 109: 1354 Aborted paraview --data="$caseFile"
-bash-3.2$
=================

I use exceed to open the paraview and version is V14 (I tried v 2008 aswell, it also didn't work)
Is there anyone who can fix this problem?
thanks in advance.

I am experiencing this same problem when I try running the first tutorial.'

I type paraFoam, the paraview window opens, then immediately exits, and
in the terminal window where I typed paraFoam I see

paraFoam
created temporary 'cavity.OpenFOAM'
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
Read float past end of buffer
paraview-real: /opt/crc/paraview/ParaView3/VTK/Utilities/vtknetcdf/posixio.c:433: px_get: Assertion `extent != 0' failed.
/afs/crc.nd.edu/x86_64_linux/OpenFOAM/1.7.1/gcc-4.4.4/OpenFOAM-1.7.1/bin/paraFoam: line 119: 32079 Aborted paraview --data="$caseFile"

Is this some QT problem?

I should have mentioned that I'm running OpenFOAM 1.7.1, and using QT4.6.2
