paraView ERROR: In ..... Servers/ServerManager/vtkSMProxyManager.cxx, line 368

Hello,

since today my paraView reports the following ERRORS for every case i open:

ERROR: In /home/opencfd/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-1.7.0/ParaView-3.8.0/Servers/ServerManager/vtkSMProxyManager.cxx, line 368
vtkSMProxyManager (0x1294550): No proxy that matches: group=sources and proxy=PV3FoamReader were found.

ERROR: In /home/opencfd/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-1.7.0/ParaView-3.8.0/Servers/ServerManager/vtkSMDeserializer.cxx, line 58
vtkSMCompoundProxyDefinitionLoader (0x1b38aa0): Could not create a proxy of group: sources type: PV3FoamReader

does anyone have an idea about the reason and how to solve it?

i have already re-installed, but this error still occurs :(

thank you very much

Martin

Greetings Martin,

If OpenFOAM and ParaView weren't open source, I would say that your license had expired

OK, probably ParaView is up to no good once again (i.e., bugs). It might be something that got corrupted in ParaView's config file, which won't reset automatically even after reinstalling. Try following the instructions from this post: paraview 3.8 auto rescale doesn't work #6

Best regards,
Bruno

hmmmmm...

thanks for your answer...

the -dr option did not work... and i don't know how to handle the sed option..!?

isn't it possible to delete the config - or whatever file may be damaged - and install paraview once again?

The "-dr" option should have the similar effect to removing the file "~/.config/ParaView/ParaView3.8.0.ini".

It's also possible that something got damaged if you updated your Linux system.
