Hello,
If I have a free surface model, how could I make a velocity field that is only for the fluid and not for air? I see that I can create a contour and contour by an alpha value of 0.5 which will give me the interface of the fluid and air, but could I make a velocity profile for alpha = 0 to 0.5? |

Hi Xhoven
I don't know whether this is what you want, but what you could do, is to create an Isovolume of alpha from 0 to 0.5 and cut this via a slice. the new slice you can color with the velocity. Cheers, DITO |

I'm assuming you want to do this in paraview? Use the threshold filter with alpha 0.5, and then the glyph filter on the resulting data set.
