Hello colleagues!
I am doing engine-simulations with the CFD software Converge and I want to test ParaView as post-processor for these simulations. I write out my files as *.case files (EnSight format) and I can see all my data in ParaView except the spray data. So I don’t know how I can visualize the spray data in ParaView. I read about foamtovtk but this is only for OpenFoam simulations, right? Can anybody help me? Thank you Natalie17 |

there is a possibility that ensight data itself if not correct. there is a took that ensight gives for checking toe intregity of the data it's called ens_checker90. One you are sure that your data is correct, you can debug why it's not loading in ParaView properly. I have used Ensight data in Paraview a lot and I never had any problem. |

Thank you cfd_newbie!
I know that my data are correct. I can see in EnSight everything probperly, but I don't know if or how I can get a visualization of the spray like that at the attached pictures in ParaView 3.8.1 64bit. I don't know if this is possible in ParaView and if yes how I can do it. Do you know that? With best regards and thank you Natalie17 |

Hi Natalie,
Can you elaborate on what type of data is "Spray Data" ? Is it scalar or vector, steady/unsteady ? You have posted 2 images which one you want to reproduce ? Raashid |

Hello Raashid,
My Spray data are unsteady scalars as temperatur, radius and so on, but also the velocity vector. Actually I want to have a picture that looks like the first one I posted. Is that possible with ParaView and how can I do that? With best regards Natalie |

Dear Raashid,
I am simulating the spray injection in a diesel engine. I am doing the computations using Fluent and I want to see the spray droplets using paraview. Does anybody know how to see the droplets in paraview? |

Load the lagrangian particles, visualize by "glyphs" set to colour by diameter/velocity/temperature. Like in the post-processing section of http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...ered_NL_HN.pdf
