using sample

Hi Foamers,

i used sample utility after running a case and a set directory is created within case directory. it contains u.xy and p.xy files but i don't know how to use these files to plot results. any one have an idea?
thanks

Did you look into these files? They should be self-explanatory.

do you mean it is used to read values not to plot it

Bernhard September 25, 2012 05:44

It just shows columns with data that you chose. If you want to read or plot it is up to you.

ok, thanks. how could i plot it using these files.

Any plotting program can plot data structured in columns. I prefer gnuplot. Some people like Grace, others like Matlab, and some spreadsheatoholic use Excel, Gnumeric, ooCalc. That is really up to you.
