Hi,
Currently,I am doing a simulation to calculate drag around a sphere. I have modified the solver icoIbFoam little bit for pimple algorithm since I am simulating for low Reynolds numbers and the results should be steady . And also as the results should be axisymmetric,I simulate only quarter of sphere. Now, I have realized that the Drag calculations are different in parallel simulations and serial simulations. Has anyone noticed that before? I tried both using a hollow quarter of sphere and a solid quarter of sphere. At low refinements, hollow quarter gave me reasonable results and then I started using it. But later I noticed when the mesh is more refined, that also gave me wrong results. But all simulations seems give correct results in single core. If anyone can help me to figure this out,I am very grateful. Thanks in advance. Thamali |
