Hello all,
I have downloaded a file online which contain the vtk.. what is the vtk? why we use it? how can i open and view it? Thanks you all for a kind reply |
Hi,
VTK is a visualization library that is used to program the paraview visualization software. Paraview is also the default program to open *.vtk files. See http://www.vtk.org/ and http://www.paraview.org/. For OpenFoam postprocessing a minor extension called ParaFoam is usually used. This information and Google should give you a decent overview. Good luck! Cutter |

Oh, thanks for the good news. This feature will certainly improve the whole OF postprocessing workflow. Hopefully relative paths within state files are implemented too. Time to compile a new paraview...
