Hi,

VTK is a visualization library that is used to program the paraview visualization software. Paraview is also the default program to open *.vtk files.

See http://www.vtk.org/ and http://www.paraview.org/.

For OpenFoam postprocessing a minor extension called ParaFoam is usually used. This information and Google should give you a decent overview.

Good luck!

Do you think paraFoam is still relevant? With paraview 4 now released, including the nice reload button, I don't see any advantage of paraFoam over Paraview.

Oh, thanks for the good news. This feature will certainly improve the whole OF postprocessing workflow. Hopefully relative paths within state files are implemented too. Time to compile a new paraview...
