Hi,
i am currently using wallHeatFlux to have the value of the heat flux at each time, for a transient case.
I remark that the values written on wallHeatFlux files are totally wrong. It seems that for a transient case, the commant wallHeatFlux computes the cumulated wallHeatFlux since the beginning of the job while i want the value at each time.
Does anyone know something about it ?
Thank you very much.
Have a good day.
Laurent

Greetings Laurent,

There is nothing in the source code that would suggest that this should occur. Are you able to reproduce the same error with one of OpenFOAM's tutorials?

Beyond this, I'll need more details in order to try and reproduce this error you're witnessing:
  1. Which OpenFOAM version are you using?
  2. Are you using any function objects?
    1. If you are, which ones and how are they configured?
  3. Which boundary conditions for the "T" field are you using for the walls?
  4. Which solver are you using?
Best regards,
Bruno

Hello Bruno,
i haven't succeed to reproduce this error.
Sorry for the time you have spent to answer to me. It seems that the physical conditions on my test-case were wrong.
I'm really sorry.
Have a good day.
Laurent
