Hi all,
I am simulating a 2D flow case of circular cylinder undergoing VIV using pointDisplacement in that i am using uncoupledSixDofRigidBodyDisplacement as a displacement type and allowing the cylinder to translate only in transverse direction to flow. I fail to understand why my cylinder oscillates for initial few secs say 10 to 20s and after that it remains stationary, what may be the reason behind this? And when i am simulating for 2DOF i.e. translation in inline and cross flow direction, cylinder displacement is same in both the direction which i think is not possible. Can anybody guide me on this, i am very badly stuck on this for long time. Thanks in advance! Amit Dhage |

Dear all,
What is anchor and refAttachmentPt in pointDisplacement file for sixDoFRigidBodyMotionRestraint linearSpring for Dynamic Mesh? |
