controlDict and sampleDict giving different results

Hi, this is my first post so please let me know if I've missed something or should post something different.

I'm using probes in controlDict to access fields at probeLocations and sets in sampleDict to access fields at points. The fields are the same in both dictionaries (U and p) and the probeLocations in controlDict are the same as the points in sampleDict. The field values at the end of the simulation using controlDict are different from the field values at the end of the simulation using sampleDict. Is this right? I would have thought they should be the same. I'm running the simulations on different meshes and getting different results (using controlDict and sampleDict) on all the meshes, so it's not an isolated incidence.

It's difficult to know what to post in the way of data, because this is not a test case. Please could someone advise me what to post or point me in the direction of a test case, which I could run, to see if I still get different results?

I'm using OpenFOAM-2.2.1.

Thank you.

Are you using 2.2.X version of OpenFOAM? One problem I found in the 2.2.X version of OpenFOam (I am using 2.2.1) is that if you are using moving mesh, the probe points do not move with the mesh, as a result you get different results. I believe a patch was introduced at a later time to address (you might have to do a search to locate the patch for the 2.2.x version of OpenFoam). The later version of openfoam has it fixed.

Thank you, Musaddeque. I am not using moving mesh.
