CFD Online Discussion Forums - foamToVTK FATAL ERROR

Hi,

I ran a simulation using a user compiled a coupled steady state kinematic cloud solver to simulate erosion on geometry surface.

When trying to postprocess the erosion by using foamToVTK command i receive the following fatal error

    cell, tetFace and tetPt search failure at position (0.169635 -5.36499e-05 -0.158203)

    for requested cell 1965716

    If this is a restart or reconstruction/decomposition etc. it is likely that the write precision is not sufficient.

    Either increase 'writePrecision' or set 'writeFormat' to 'binary'

Although i dont understand the error i tried the suggestions given by openFoam ( changing writeformat and write precision) but in vain.
Just to let everybody know my server got restarted while the simulation was running. I am trying to visualise what has happened until restart. Could this pose some kind of problem. No right?
