look at this file: $FOAM_SRC/functionObjects/utilities/writeObjects/writeObjects.H

This is a functionObject which you can use to write additional fields/objects (if they are registered) at writing time.

Hi, Endel. I am having problems calculating the speed of sound field. Could you know how to calculate parameters, like partial(P)/partial(rho)? Thank you very much!

Solution to calculate 'grad(U)' field in post processing

in the control dict include the following lines under functions
#includeFunc grad(U)

Then run the following in the terminal
postProcess -func "grad(U)" -latestTime
