Hi everyone,

I'm running a 2D case of fanwing model and trying to export the forces value by using function object. Here i have the forces.dat file after running but i wonder if there's something wrong with it.
Why the force value in the Z direction is not zero since this is a 2D case?
another thing is the drag force has negative mean value? that means the wing has more thrust and it can fly faster and faster which is ridiculous.

i'm so struggle now, so thanks for any suggestion of you guys

This is my forces.dat file:
# Forces
# CofR : (0.000000e+00 0.000000e+00 0.000000e+00)

Those forces are zero.
The forces are:
-5.066507e-19 (z component) is basically zero compared to 4.536716e+00 and 4.721208e+00 (x and y component)
5.368491e-15 is basically zero compared to 2.330434e-01 1.298793e-01
then within the other brackets are moments, so you want to have zero in x and y, but not in z. And you kind of have that:
-4.721208e-02 4.536716e-02 are way smaller than 3.078094e+00
