tecmul Member Join Date: Sep 2018 Posts: 53 Rep Power: 7	Hello, I've implemented temporal averaging of my velocity field with the function object fieldAverage in the controlDict file. What I understood from reading the code was that the function averages cell values over time, not domain points. This is a problem as the cell centroids move around. What I want is to average the velocity field over time at each point in the domain. Do I have to map the velocity field of the dynamic mesh to an underlying static mesh at each time step and then average that? Is there a simpler method?
