fsiFoam solver and problem in show deformed solid

Dear Foamers
I want to show stree in solid after running fsiFoam. It seen the solid region doesn't save in timestep folder. I run tutorial (HronTurekFSI) and then use "paraFoam -nativeReader" to show solid and fluid region with velocity, stress, pressure etc in paraview but only initial position of solid illustrated. Do you have any recommendation for this position? thanks

Hi,

I do not fully understand your problem.

What would you like to see/visualise in ParaView?

Philip

Dear Philip
I want to visualize solid mesh in each time step (after deforming) to show stress on it. Now I try and the result was as:

ex. the solid region for time step isn't show properly.

It looks like the solid mesh has not been moved to its deformed position.

I suggest you open the "case.foam" (or "fluid.foam") file a second time in ParaView, where the fluid internal mesh is enabled (ticked) in the first one and the solid internal mesh is enabled (ticked) in the second one. Then you can use the "Warp by Vector" filter to move the solid mesh by the displacement field (D or pointD or it could be U depending on the solver) to see the deformed solid position.

Philip
