Hello,
by OF, a set of sampling data was generated in .vtk-format: data-"type" like that of paraView's "Plot over Line", i.e. gauge_1 { ............ start (0.02 0.20 0.005); end (0.02 0.25 0.005);; ............ gauge_2 { ............ start (0.2 0.03 0.005); end (0.2 0.55 0.005); ............ data-storage: in diverse folders, each folder refers 1 time-step and has 2 gauge-files e.g. gauge_1_alpha.water.vtk gauge_2_alpha.water.vtk my question is: does someone know how to open and visualize a single file in ParaView? and if ParaView can open and visualize them in batch-wise, especially when time-steps are too many? (I did open them in ParaView, but got some trouble to visualize them) many thanks in advance here, 1 example of a single .vtk-file: ------------------------------------------------------------------ # vtk DataFile Version 2.0 gauge_1 ASCII DATASET POLYDATA POINTS 5 double 0.02 0.201142 0.005 0.02 0.213904 0.005 0.02 0.226666 0.005 0.02 0.239428 0.005 0.02 0.25219 0.005 POINT_DATA 5 FIELD attributes 1 alpha.water 1 5 float 0.999991 0.999922 0.999324 0.933144 0.519512 ------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi,
one possible way to easily visualize the points from your VTK file is by using the "Point Gaussian", see my screenshot! best, Damian
