Dear Foamers ;
Recently I made a study of a mixer vessel (a real one, not the tutorial, but the configuration was almost the same), so then, working with Paraview I can obtain the pressure field over the rotor (a volumetric rotor, not like the rotor of stirrer vessel tutorial). So the next step of this study is to obtain the stresses over the rotor domain (made of a common steel, i.e. linear value of E=209GPa). I would like to learn how to obtain this stresses using OpenFOAM. The deformation of the rotor MUST be minimal, because it has to work below yielding stress limit, so I don't think that I need to use a FSI solver, because the FSI solver, as far as I know, is used to obtain the fluid behavior in interaction with a solid which has a very high deformation. I think that I need something simpler, but I don't know what it is (what solver should I use and how to perform the study). Can anyone help me? Regards, Pablo. |
