Paraview doesn't allow adjusting opacity

Hi all,

I came across a weird issue in paraview when doing visualisation.

I was trying to achieve semi-transparent effect by adjusting opacity level (Properties panel -> Styling -> Opacity), however the entire visual would disappear as long as opacity is not 1.

For example, the whole layer would disappear if I set Opacity to to 0.5 or even 0.99, and the layer would reappear as 100% opaque if I change Opacity level back to 1.

Apart from this, everything else works perfectly. I assume it's a problem with my environment / graphic or a paraview setting I overlooked?

Has anyone experienced this problem before. I appreciate you help very much!

Regards,
Huanghai

there is paraview forum from the developers,
i think you should contact them,
if solution found pls post the link here too.

Thanks I'll post in Paraview forum. I will surely add the solution here if I found one.

The problem is now solved.

Turned out it's a graphic driver issue. I installed the correct GPU driver following this page https://www.mvps.net/docs/install-nv...-beaver-linux/ and the issue went away.
