Hi!

I am trying to run the particle tracking solver icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam in post-processing (I already have the flow files). Do you know where I can find some tutorial if any?
I have already solved a flow case such as pitzDaily.
I myCase/constant folder I have included kinematicCloudProperties and kinematicCloudPositions.
I would like to compute the particles tracking in my domain. Is that possible in post-processing mode? Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you!

Hi, did u get it solved? i am also trying to do similar one, i need something with massless particle tracking for calculating the residence time. I already tried icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam but it is working good for mass particles and it also includes other forces like drag and gravity.

I removed gravity, but when i give the particle size to be small, it doesnt even move and when i make it big, it just moves only upto 50% of distance that what actually it has to do. Please help if u find something

Hi, I also want to run a particle tracking simulation on an already solved flow. Did you manage to do it? In affirmative case, how did you do it?

Thanks for your help. Best regards!

Hi, i lost my patience in searching for existing particle tracking, hence i developed my own massless particle tracking application on OpenFOAM v1806, which works but quite slow for very large meshes... and sorry buddy i cannot share the code as it is under copyright of the company i worked for..
