I had a query regarding Paraview. I am getting a new workstation assembled and intend to use NVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti. Reading from your posts elsewhere I realized that OSPRay will work on any graphics card, albeit slow. The newer versions of Paraview with Optix are supported by Nvidia TRX series cards. We do use raytracing on our data occasionally. Do you recommend we invest money in RTX cards to take benefit of Optix, and will that be fast, well-supported? Or should we stick to cheaper GeForce cards, stick to OSPRay, and will that be slow?
