Hello,

I was wondering if I can print the probes values in binary. I need to export quite a lot of probes for many times, and it would be perfect if I could compress this by printing in binary. I tried to modify the probes function object, but with no luck.

In probes.C I try to define

auto fPtr = autoPtr<OFstream>::New(probeDir/fieldName,IOstream::BINARY);

instead of the original

auto fPtr = autoPtr<OFstream>::New(probeDir/fieldName);

but when I run the code, the probes are still in ascii.

Any help is very welcome.

Thanks,

Markella
