Airfoil error with finer refinement

Hi,
with 5.600.000 Cells, I'm getting good results for my NACA 2412 validation. If I'm going for more cells with a finer refinement box, the simulation crashes. I use simpleFoam with a Reynolds Number of 3,1*10^6 (v=73.7 m/s) for validation. The wing has infinite wing span (chord: 3ft, span:2ft). To check, if a can get a mesh independent solution, i need a mesh with more cells. SnappyHexMesh runs without any errors and creates 15.000.000 cells in my case. Then the errors begin with patchsummary.log. The relevant logs are in attatched. Everything works fine, when i set the refinement box under a value of 3. Can someone tell me, why this happens? Iam grateful for every answer. |
