ParaView axes are skewed

Hello

I am having a problem with Para View 5.8.0 whereby when I try to view the fluid domain from a normal (perpendicular) direction, the displayed view is, in fact, not normal.

E.g. Image 1 (attached): this is a channel with a contraction in the middle. Generic angle shown.

Image 2 (attached): I select to view directly along the Z-axis - the fluid domain is rotated (I should not be able to see any of the depth of the channel but I can e.g. see near the contraction).

Can anybody help me? It is seriously impeding my ability to visualise my mesh.

My vertices etc. are all fine. My x,y,z origin is in the bottom left corner of the channel.

Thanks

Hey :)

Seeing the pictures, I am guessing that it maybe has to do with the non orthogonal projection used to visualize the mesh, meaning that perspective matters. For a long mesh like this one, it might seem like it is warped somehow.

If you want to view your mesh using the orthogonal projection, you can check "Use parallel projection" in the properties of the object in Paraview.

Cheers!

Thank you. That solved it.
