Hello, Foamers

I would like to know how to calculate grad(U) in openFOAM.

The value of grad(U) obtained by [postProcess -func “grad(U)”] and the value of fvc::grad(U) in the forces.C file(OpenFOAM-v1806/src/functionObjects/forces/forces/forces.C) are different.

Specifically, the values differ by a factor of 2.9 on average.

Does anyone know why the values are different?

Any help will greatly appreciated.

Thank you
