I am researching the collision of the droplets at the university, but the thesis and URL of the collision model are few in Japan.
I cannot understand trajectory model and ORourke model.
So, I want to read the thesis of the collision model.
Could anyone teach me the thesis or URL of the trajectory model and the ORourke model?
I'm sorry my bad English.

Hi Takahiro,

On this URL there is some basic stuff on O'Rourke's model: http://202.185.100.7/homepage/fluent...ug/node673.htm
And here you might also find something: http://www.springerlink.com/content/t0021305807l0528/
Do you have access to Science Direct to find articles?

I want to read the theses somehow or other.
Thank you for the reply, David and Gijsbert.
David, I'm interested in your new model.I want to be going to make it referring to your model in the near future.
Gijs, I had not used Science Direct. Hereafter,I want to use it.
Is the model written here(http://www.springerlink.com/content/t0021305807l0528/) trajectory model?

Hi,
I want to know difference of between "trajectory model" and "O'Rourke model".
Did O'Rourke propose "trajectory model",too?

best regards,
Takahiro

O'Rourke did not propose the trajectory model. His thinking (and my thinking too) is that since you are only simulating a subset of the droplets, you must take a statistical approach to collision calculations. There are a million droplets in the spray and you are only simulating a few thousand. The problem with the trajectory model is that you artificially judge the position of all the non-simulated droplets as being exactly co-located on top of the simulated droplets (parcels).

Thank you David I see that

Thank you David

I see that O'Rourke did not propose "trajectory model".
May I regard this model as making based on O'Rourke's model? Because it is possible to think the condition that the collision occur to be "O'Rourke model" almost together.

And if I use "trajectory model", should be changed "cSpacce" and "cTime" and I simulate it?
I'm sorry my bad English.

best regards,
Takahiro
