Conversion of Data file to FLUENT

Hi,

I am new to OpenFoam, actually today is my first day. Howwever, I have been using FLUENT for almost 10 years now and know the software very well. It would be a huge plus for me if the OpenFoam data can be exported to FLUENT for post-processing. I tried using the command "foamDataToFluent", but the conversion did not take place. Is there any other way to do the conversion ? By the way, I tried to use Paraview initially. It looks too complicated to even for simple post-processing.

Regards,

Sanjib

I have the same situation as you. I know very well Fluent, but OpenFOAM since a couple of months.
foamDataToFluent works. You have to type

foamDataToFluent fluent.msh

Hi,

what can you get from Fluent with "CFD General Notation System" (CGNS)?

If you can export the Fluent results to CGNS?!

Hi and thanks,

Fluent can export cgns format.

Are you sure cgnsToFOAM works with OpenFOAM 1.7?
