Hallo!

I'm trying to display in ParaView difference between fields values corresponding to 2 different time steps. I didn't find any solution. Would any one please give some tips how to do this. I found how to create shifted in time data using Time Shift Scale filter, but can not find easy way how to subtract those shifted values from current and display that.

I would really appreciate your help!
Best regards

Hi,

I wasn't able to do that using the Time Shift Scale filter either.

Now, there is another solution. ParaView 5.4.0 introduced a new filter called Temporal Array Operator that makes it easy to calculate the difference between field values corresponding to two different time steps.

Best regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

thank you for the great tip, I will try it! Currently I was saving ddt(some_field) in my solver. Of course it is not a solution for the standard solvers of for old results.

Cheers,
Alexander
