directMapped - How to Use it ?

Dear Foamers,

I'm trying to use directMapped but can't find a tutorialm example or something like that to see how it works.

Does someone know the utility himself or know where I can find useful information?

Mmm in fact I'm not even sure that this utility can help me ... Because it is used to map the inlet from a plane OF THE SAME CASE.

What I'm searching to do is :
I have a solved case. I want to take the data of the U field on a plane and matched these data on the inlet of another case.
I tried the 'TimeVaryingMappedValue' but this utility seems to give weird values... (I used the sample utility to make values & points)

Do you guys know a utility that could suit my need?
