How to sample at a distance of a patch perpendicular to this patch?

I have a question about the sampling utility.
Is it possible to sample along a patch (curved 3d geometry) values that have a certain distance perpendicular to this patch? I hope I don't have to use a cloud and make a list of points of where to sample/ but that this can be done automatically? |
