Dear all:

When performing a simulation on heat transfer using the buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam solver I set my T file as follows:

dimensions [0 0 0 1 0 0 0];

internalField uniform 300;

boundaryField
{
inlet
{
type fixedValue;
value uniform 500;
}
outlet
{
type zeroGradient;
}
wallTemperature
{
type fixedValue;
value uniform 400;
}
wall
{
type zeroGradient;
}
}

The temperature limits are between 300 and 500 ° K, however, in the simulation appears an area with a temperature higher than 500 ° K, therefore, does not comply with the energy equation, my question is: how could To configure the simulation to match the energy equation?

Simulation:

Hey Jean

Is the location where T is larger than 500K on the boundary called "wall"? Can you post your fvSchemes and make a comment on your grid-refinement at the walls?

Some schemes can cause oscillations that interfere when they get reflected at zeroGradient boundary conditions.

If my suspicions are true, you would have to change the scheme to a bounded one with greater stability and maybe you should also refine your mesh at the walls.

Though this is just a guess and it could be something else.

Cheers,

Lukas
