Hi guys,
what are the units of the shear stress fields one can post-process in OF8 ? m2/s2 ??? Thanks |

Depends on the solver. If it's a kinematic solver, like simpleFoam, then viscosity, pressure and other stresses are kinematic. So shear stress will have units m2/s2. If you are running a compressible solver, then it won't be kinematic and you will have the regular units of kg/m.s2.
PS - a simple check is to look at the tutorial for the solver, and check the units in the boundary files. |
