Hi to all,

I have a vertical circular pipe divided into two part: the upper and lower part. The upper part has to rotate with a given frequency while the lower one is stationary. I wanted to know if it's possible to do give a frequency to a boundary? if yes how should it be done?

Thanks for your time

You can use groovyBC library if you like.
Is it 3d?could you put a image of it here?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Yes, it is a 3D circular pipe. Actually I have had some problems with defining the geometry in OpenFoam but I will upload it as soon i'm finished with that (latest tomorrow morning).

Until then I can upload the 3D sketch of the model. Note that the model has rectangular cross section in the sketch but it is circular in reality.

Hi
I couldn't see the figure please upload it anywhere else.
do you want to introduce a BC on the rotating wall or on the surroundings?

Hi,

I want to give a frequency to the walls (not surroundings) so they rotate.

I have attached the figure. Hope this works well now.
