Dear Foamers
I am trying to simulate a swirl flame and this flame has a primary (axial) air stream where-of swirl is induced aerodynamically. This stream has distinct bulk axial and tangential mean velocities i.e. Us and Ws respectively. I am going to set swirlFlowRateInletVelocity with includes: Code:
type swirlFlowRateInletVelocity; flowRate -------; rpm -------; value uniform (0 0 0); In the above B.C. flowrate is computed via axial Bulk velocity and rpm is computed through tangential velocity. Am I right? Is it right to say that tangential velocity does not have contribution to the flowRate quantity in swirlFlowRateInletVelocity B.C. ? Or tangential velocity affects the flowRate?
