Heat transfer in an anaerobic digester

Hello to all.
I have to simulate the behavior of sludge within an anaerobic digester. The motion of the sludge is generated by a heat exchanger placed at the center of the digester. I need the model in 2 dimensions, so I would like some advice on how to create the mesh and especially on how to set the heat exchanger inside. Thank to anybody who will try to help me.
