Hi guys,
I'm trying to simulate a ground heat exchanger pile in OpenFoam. Target of the simulation is to validate the advantage of piles that are filled with water in comparison to ground buried heat exchangers. Therefore I made a simple sketch to give you an idea what the simulation should contain: Is it possible to combine the simulation of the buoyancy driven flow inside the pile and the heat transfer to the surrounding soil? The soil and the concrete wall should be simplified as a solid material of constant parameters. What boundary conditions are suitable for the simplification of the heat exchanger coil? Thanks for ideas, comments and help on the topic!!! Regards Kelevra |
