Hi,
I am performing a centrifugal pump simulation. I am using two approaches: MRF and dynamic mesh. My mesh has one cellZone called rotorMRF. However, there are three patches inside this cellZone, and only two of them are actually rotating. There is an option called rotatingPatches to be put inside the MRF definition in which you can select the patches that are actually rotating inside the MRF zone (rotorMRF). Therefore, for the MRF approach it is allright. Now, for the dynamic mesh, I don't have the option rotatingPatches to select which are the regions inside the cellZone that I want to be rotating. The dynamicMeshDict file only allow me to select a cellZone (or maybe not, but I didn't find the solution), but doing this there will be a rotating region that should not be doing it. I tried to find some utility to split a cellZone into other cellZones, but also was not able to find it.. Any ideas of solution? I appreciate any help. Thanks! Lisandro |
