Hello Everyone,
I am new to OpenFoam, I tried to simulate a shocktube, close at one one end and open at the other end. The initial pressure, temperature and velocity inside the shocktube is is 0.8 bar, 293 K and 0 m/s. Air is treated as in-viscid. I have done the simulation with rhoCentralFoam and sonicFoam, but my simulation results are not matching with the analytical solutions available, this may because I have taken wrong boundary conditions. I have taken as Pressure zeroGradient and velocity zero at the walls, and Pressure fixed value 1 bar and velocity zeroGradient at the the Open End. Thanks in advance. |
