Default Actuator disc in any direction

Hey folks,

I hope you all have a very good day.
I have a question regarding the generation of actuator discs in a random direction.

My system:
OpenFoam 2.3.1 at an ubuntu 14.04 x64

My final goal:
Running a vessel in 6dof with actuator discs instead of propeller to save calculation time. Therefore I am preparing the single parts (2-phase-model, moving mesh and actuator model in any direction).

Idea:
Implementing of 2 stl-disc (r=1, position at same location, normal vector (1 1 0)) as patch with snappyHexMesh and then processing to cyclic with createPatch.

Problem:
This doesn't work since snappyHexMesh does not assign the faces of the cell to both disc, only on one with is then of course a problem in the createPatch command. I tried also "foamUpgradeCycles" with one disc and this literally splits the faces of the single disc to either one side or the other.
One thing what I thought of would be a cylinder, but I think this requires changes in the code and I think it should be possible with the "standard" tools of OF.
I used also cyclicAMI as interim stage, but this does not solve the original problem since it does not generate additional faces.

The generation of discs with foamUpgradeCylces works fine in orthogonal or parallel orientation to the stream, but this is not really useful since the vessel is moving in the end in any direction.

I think I have overseen something and would be more than happy if someone can guide me in the right direction or show me another way.

Cheers

Hauke

Here the files after the snappyHexMesh operation

boundary.txt

createPatchDict.cyclicAMI.txt

snappyHexMeshDict.txt

Has no one heard about a similar problem and/or could give me a hint?

Hi
I also want to array my actuator disk in random direction, for example with some sin function . do you know any reference that I can get some idea from that?
many thanks
