Pushing a Sphere through a tube

Hello, I am trying to simulate blowing a sphere through a tube.

I am new to CFD and am looking for how to set up a model that would simulate this case.

Starting easily, I want to be able to just show a sphere with mass "m" and friction "mu" being pushed through a pipe.

Eventually I want to be able to model a vertical pipe with a constant air flow in at the bottom, pushing out water above the sphere to see at what point the sphere is just pushed out under the back pressure of the gas behind, as well as look at the velocity that the sphere exits the tube.

Any assistance in pointing to a similar example or tutorial of how I used OPEN Foam and Salome to do this modelling would be greatly appreciated.
