Boundary condition

Hi, I am simulating the flow around three dimensional circular cylinder with Re=100. Now I am trying to assign boundary condition to top, bottom, front and back.
I have question about what is the difference between symmetryPlane and Cyclic?
I saw that symmetryPlane mean the symmetry for assigned plane without any gradient for normal direction.
Cyclic condition means that where is expected same pattern.

Could you explain more detail about it?

Plue, my last goal is to simulate inclined cylinder.
Can't I use both conditions for inclined cylinder because of asymmetry?
I am looking forward to get answer from you.

Thanks!

Best regards

What do you exactly mean by top, bottom, front and back?
If I understand your problem correctly you should model the cylinder as no slip and the domain BC which are not inlet or outlet can be modeled as symmetry. I do not think you can use cyclic in your case.
