simscale to OpenFOAM?!!

Hello,

I am currently using the online interface of simscale as (mesher) and pre-processor, then run the case on my desktop with OpenFOAM 16.10 (CFD-Support -OS windows 7).

Has anyone already done it? I am having problems with the names imposed on the border conditions by Simscale, having to modify the files and thus run the case.

Any recommendation???

Hi italoadotti,

This is possible, but there might be some manual changes you need to do, depending on your OpenFOAM version.

Here are few similar discussion on SimScale that can give you some pointers
1. Export SimScale full project to local PC for OpenFoam use : https://www.simscale.com/forum/t/exp...foam-use/92356
2. OpenFOAM code export? : https://www.simscale.com/forum/t/ope...e-export/82743

Please share the errors you get while parsing the downloaded SimScale files with OpenFOAM to see if we can assist further.

On the other hand: Is there a specific reason why you cannot use SimScale to run the case? Please feel free to use this public roadmap to add your ideas:https://roadmap.simscale.com/tabs/2-under-consideration

Cheers!
