Hi,
I am trying to model two fans inside a closed tank. As a starting point, I am adapting the TjunctionFan tutorial case. The way I understand it, the topoSet/createBaffles utility is used for defining boundary conditions from internal faces generated in the blockMesh. My working understanding is that the topoSet defines the faces in topological space and the createBaffles feature assigns boundary conditions. I do not want baffles in my model but I want cyclicFaces to model the fan as a pressure jump in the field. So, my approach has been to set the baffleFaces in the topoSet to zero. The Error: I have previously defined fixedWalls as a boundary in the blockMeshDict encompassing the walls of the domain. When I run createBafflesDict: Create time Create mesh for time = 0 Reading baffle criteria from createBafflesDict Not converting faces on non-coupled patches. Reading geometric fields Reading volScalarField p Reading volScalarField nut Reading volScalarField k Reading volScalarField epsilon --> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: Cannot find patchField entry for fixedWalls file: /home/tony/OpenFOAM/tony-2.4.0/run/fanSimulation/0/epsilon.boundaryField from line 26 to line 50. From function GeometricField<Type, PatchField, GeoMesh>::GeometricBoundaryField::readField(const DimensionedField<Type, GeoMesh>&, const dictionary&) in file /home/openfoam/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.4.0/src/OpenFOAM/lnInclude/GeometricBoundaryField.C at line 209. FOAM exiting I've attached the case, simple run ./Allrun (and then re-run createBaffles to see the error) and I appreciate any help. Thanks. |
